Information we collect

We collect the details you give us, such as names, contact details, travel dates, destinations, preferences and enquiry messages. For a confirmed booking, we may also need dates of birth, passport or identity details, emergency contacts, travel documents and payment or transaction details. Information may come from you, a person arranging travel for you, or a supplier involved in your booking.

How we use it

We use your information to answer enquiries, prepare quotations, arrange and manage bookings, issue travel documents, provide support, process payments and meet applicable legal and accounting duties. Providing an enquiry is voluntary, but some information is needed to quote or book the services you request. Please do not send card numbers or sensitive documents through the general enquiry form; we will advise a suitable method if they are needed.

Who receives it

We share relevant details with airlines, hotels, tour operators, insurers, visa or transfer providers, payment and reservation services, and other suppliers needed for your trip. A booking may require information to be processed outside South Africa, including in your destination or a supplier’s operating country. We share only what is relevant to the service and take reasonable steps to protect information in our care.

Marketing, cookies and retention

We use contact details for travel offers only where permitted by law, and you can ask us to stop at any time. Our website may use essential cookies and any analytics or other cookies enabled through Squarespace; browser and site cookie controls let you manage them. We keep information for as long as needed for the booking, support, legal or accounting purposes, then delete or de-identify it when appropriate.

Your choices and rights

You may ask what personal information we hold about you, request correction or deletion where applicable, object to certain processing, or withdraw marketing consent. Email bernice@ggalaxytravel.com so we can assist and verify your identity where necessary. You may also lodge a complaint with the South African Information Regulator at inforegulator.org.za.
